Our Story

How Mamaghar Anathalay Began

Mamaghar Anathalay Ashram was born from a simple but profound truth: every orphaned child deserves a safe, loving home — a place to heal, learn and grow.

Founded on Baisakh 7, 2080 B.S., our ashram was established in Badegaun, Godawori with the mission of providing shelter, education and compassionate care for children in need from all corners of Nepal.

Today, Mamaghar Anathalay Ashram is home to 82 children (47 boys and 35 girls). It is more than an orphanage — it is a community where children rebuild their lives, guided by the values of compassion, empathy and responsibility.
