Mamaghar Anathalay was founded on Bhaishak 7, 2080 (April 19, 2023) with a heartfelt vision to uplift and transform the lives of children who have been deprived of care, protection and love. From the very beginning, Mamaghar has been more than just a shelter—it is a sanctuary of hope, healing and new beginnings. With unwavering dedication the ashram has created a nurturing environment where vulnerable children are not only safeguarded but also encouraged to dream, learn and flourish.
Today, Mamaghar Anathalay is home to 87 children, including 47 boys and 35 girls, aged between 1 to 18/19 years. Each child arrives with a unique story marked by hardship but within the walls of Mamaghar they find a shared journey of healing and belonging. Here, they are not defined by their past but empowered by the love, support and sense of family that surrounds them. Mamaghar stands as a symbol of compassion and resilience—a place where every child is given the opportunity to build a brighter more dignified future.
